摘要: Thirteen patients with Fuchs' endothelial dystrophy were studied to measure the potential effects of topically applied dexamethasone on function. Endothelial permeability in was not different from that found normal controls. One eye, chosen at random, treated four times a day for 7 days 0.1% phosphate. The contralateral eye placebo identical appearance. Prior treatment, there no statistically significant differences means intraocular pressure, corneal thickness, permeability, or pump rate between dexamethasone- and placebo-treated groups. In eyes, decrease observed both over course study. No changes occurred dexamethasone-treated eyes same period. When group compared group, difference change two groups, attributable large part treatment. We interpret our data as lacking support concept topical steroids are beneficial treatment stromal edema dystrophy.
