摘要: As in any evolving process, including rainfall, variability space and time are not independent of each other but depend a way particular to the process at hand. Understanding quantifying space-time dependences over range scales is always easy because these may be hidden under complex patterns with pronounced statistical all scales. In this paper, we report our efforts understand spatiotemporal organization rainfall scaies (2 km 20 10 min several hours time) explore existence simple relationships which might connect rate pattern evolution small that larger Specifically, seek whether there exist transformations can parameterized scale-invariant framework. On basis analysis tropical convective storms Darwin, Australia, found remains invariant form t ∼ L z (dynamic scaling). words, dependence structure on (L) (t) reduced single parameter t/L , where called dynamic scaling exponent. The apart from being interesting its own right, permits development downscaling schemes incorporate both spatial temporal persistence.
