摘要: Background: Intravenous dexmedetomidine is used as adjuvant during general anesthesia due to its sedative and analgesic effects. The present study was aimed evaluate the effects of intravenous on sensory motor block characteristics, hemodynamic parameters sedation subarachnoid block. Materials Methods: In this double-blind randomized placebo control study, 60 patients American Society Anesthesiologist I II were into two groups by computer generated table. Patients Group D administered 0.5 μg/kg C received similar volume normal saline, after 20 min with 0.5% hyperbaric bupivacaine. cephalic level block, total duration analgesia recorded. Sedation scores using Ramsey Score (RSS) changes also assessed. Results: Demographic profile, surgery comparable. time for segments regression 142.35 ± 30.7 in D, longer than (98.54 23.2 min). Duration blockade 259.7 46.8 versus 216.4 31.4 ( P Conclusion: dosage μg/kg, prolonged arousable sedation.
