摘要: Abstract Previous studies on the plate movement between Africa and Eurasia have pointed out evidence of successive phases transtension transpression. The transtensional regime was active Jurassic Cretaceous times. It led to extensional structures which were reactivated during Cenozoic transpressional as consequence Africa–Europe convergence. In this paper, we used satellite images field observations from Central Tunisia demonstrate role previous extension tectonics in structural evolution Atlassic chain for tectonic inversion process. study area, geometry fault kinematics is document transition tectono-sedimentary record reflects mechanical influence reactivation area points significant inheritance development Tunisia.
