SIMPLIFIED MODEL FOR RED CELL DYNAMICS IN SMALL BLOOD VESSELS

摘要: A simple mechanism for the confinement of red cells in middle narrow blood vessels is proposed. In presence a quadratic shear, deform such way to loose fore-aft symmetry and achieve fixed orientation with respect flow. This leads drift away from vessel walls, when diameter goes below critical value depending on viscoelastic properties dimensions cell.
