摘要: The initiation, propagation and the accompanied dislocation structures of cracks in AZ80 magnesium alloy during multiple forging processes were investigated. results show that firstly initiate at Mg/Mg17Al12 interface under hoop tensile stress on equatorial free surface. On further deformation, Mg17Al12 particles tend to propagate along grain boundaries(GBs) a zigzag pattern link with adjacent other form one whole crack, leading fracture Low deformation temperature too many passes will promote nucleation interfacial microcrack inside specimens due strong plastic strain incompatibility high internal stresses near GBs. loading axis rotating process can change field tip cracks, crack propagating path assisting inhabiting microcracking development.
