摘要: It has been suggested that well-documented differences in African and Caribbean people’s contact with mental health services may stem from the organization, processes practices of themselves. This article presents findings a qualitative study which explored inpatient experiences sample people. Although some positive were described, main, participants’ accounts revolved around sense loss control overt implicit racism. Underpinning these relationships staff perceived to be unhelpful. On basis both negative we draw conclusions about changes required ensure more effectively meet needs this group.
