摘要: -ABSTRACT: The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence and symptoms dysmenorrhea, its relevant factors, rate seeking medical help in a group nursing students. A total 380 students were included study. demographic data questionnaire, Daily Menstrual Symptom Rating Scale (DMSR), Visual Analog for pain (VASP) used as tools collection. mean age participants 20.31 ± 1.10 years. Most had experienced dysmenorrhea (84.9%). frequently initiated on first day menstruation (77.8%). most commonly reported menstrual problems irregular cycles (27.2%) oligomenorrhea (15.1%). Only 24.1% consulted their physicians dysmenorrhea. who significantly higher symptom scores than not terms decreased activities, tension, hip abdominal pain, backache, headache, fatigue. Also, having sister with increased risk Although is gynecological problem that seen young women negatively affects daily activities school life, seekingmedical low. Adolescentsshould, therefore, be educated counseled underlying cause increase use an effective treatment method. Considering nurses should better informed about causes options, undertaken.
