摘要: Saffron is one of the most expensive agricultural products in world and as such, commonly adulterated spice, with undeclared plant-based surrogates or synthetic components simulating color morphology. Currently, saffron quality certificated international trade market according to specific ISO guidelines, which test aroma, flavor, strength. However, it has been demonstrated that adulterants such safflower, marigold, turmeric up 20% (w/w) cannot be detected under prescribed approach; therefore, there still a need for advanced sensitive screening methods cope this open issue. The current investigation aims develop rapid untargeted method based on an ambient mass spectrometry ionization source (DART) Orbitrap™high-resolution analyzer discriminate pure samples either safflower turmeric. metabolic profiles model prepared at different inclusion levels were acquired. Unsupervised multivariate analysis was carried out hierarchical cluster principal component first confirmation discriminating potential profile acquired optimized DART-HRMS conditions.
