摘要: Abstract Electron inelastic mean free paths (IMFPs) in Au x Ni 1− alloy samples ( =1, 2 and 5 at.%) were determined experimentally by elastic peak electron spectroscopy. In addition, we also explored the effect of surface segregation determination IMFP. The measurements performed with respect to a standard (relative measurements) without material (absolute measurements). Two Monte Carlo (MC) algorithms used calculate IMFPs. energy dependence IMFP for surfaces both nominal composition enriched up ∼25 at.% was obtained range 200–2000 eV. measured IMFPs compared calculated from TPP-2M predictive formula. It found that studied alloys absolute considerably lower than values relative as well. This deviation can be explained change since experimental depend on concentration low 200–1000
