摘要: Abstract Objective To estimate the extent to which practice of periodically updating meta-analyses causes inflation type I error and then compare with caused by publication bias. We also present a simple method adjust for associated meta-analyses. Study Design Setting Simulations were used rates. Results In general, 2- 5-fold rates, exceeded As rule thumb, results meta-analysis are robust up 5, 10, 15, or 22 updates, if P-value multiplied 4, 6, 8, 10 remains below desired significance level. Conclusion Meta-analyses likely be updated until clear conclusion is reached. Therefore, it important take rate into account interpret correctly.
