摘要: BACKGROUND Vascular dementia (VaD) is the second most common type of dementia. So far, little known about contribution genetic polymorphisms to risk VaD. Many candidate have been examined in a large number studies. However, due conflicting results, genetics VaD still behind shadow. OBJECTIVE We conducted comprehensive meta-analysis on associations between any gene and investigate METHOD sought published studies polymorphism critically appraised them. assessed effects models by calculating pooled odds ratios (ORs), investigating origin heterogeneity subgroup analysis, testing robustness random effect model sensitivity analysis. RESULTS 69 with 4,462 cases 11,583 controls were included. identified APOE ɛ2/ɛ3/ɛ4 additional four including MTHFR C677T, PON1 L55M, TGF-β1 +29C/T, TNF-α -850C/T associated Tested results show nice robustness. CONCLUSIONS Our highlighted sporadic Because small amount data polymorphisms, except for APOE, VaD, more are needed test existing detect other related variants.
