摘要: Objective: Despite unknown etiology, immunologic alterations and neutrophil hyperfunctions may be involved in the etiopathogenesis of Behcet’s Disease (BD). The purpose study was to investigate whether adenosine deaminase (ADA) activity, accepted as a nonspecific marker T lymphocyte activation, have potential role BD, also related production reactive oxygen species (ROS) by neutrophils. Design methods: ADA activities malondialdehyde (MDA; endproduct lipid peroxidation induced ROS) levels both plasma erythrocytes were spectrophotometrically measured 25 patients with BD healthy controls. Results: activity found higher plasma, but lower erythrocytes; erythrocyte MDA than those controls. In addition, positively (p < 0.05) 0.01). There positive correlation between 0.05), negative correlations 0.01) values patients. Conclusion: These findings provide some evidence for activation reflected increased presence possible interrelationship activated cells hyperfunctions, such ROS generation, levels.
