Emotional Experiences of Performing Prostitution

摘要: ABSTRACT Survey data obtained from 119 women who were prostituting in escort agencies and on the street Phoenix, Arizona provide insight into women's emotional experiences of turning tricks. Results indicate that experience a range negative emotions while performing sex acts with customers including feelings sadness, worth-lessness, anger, anxiety, shame. Far less frequently, tricks described as involving excitement desirability. In addition to experiencing prostitution overwhelmingly emotionally unpleasant, if not traumatic, feel more negatively about themselves after entering would strongly prefer leave for different occupation similar earnings.
