摘要: The aim of this study was to investigate the potential protective effect Lycium barbarum polysaccharides (LBP) pretreatment against cadmium (Cd)-induced hepatotoxicity in rats. Wistar rats were divided into control group, LBP group (300 mg/kg orally, once a day, for 30 days), Cd (CdCl2 4 mg/kg i.p. once), and LBP + Cd (LBP 300 mg/kg 30 days + CdCl2 24 h after last treatment). liver injury examined by morphological/histological changes, transaminases, total protein concentration, oxidative stress evaluated MDA, 3NT, GSH, SOD, TEAC activities. intoxication caused gross morphological changes with hyperemia parenchyma, increased volume, disappearance anatomical limits lobes associated an increase ALT, plasma decrease liver, proteins plasma. slight improvement histological architecture 3NT amount together significant hematic parameters. On basis obtained results, we can affirm that ameliorate conditions, but further studies are needed better evaluate antioxidant effects Cd-induced toxicity.
