摘要: The fate of pristane (2,6,10,14-tetramethylpentadecane), a widespread isoprenoid hydrocarbon, has been studied in rats after single per os administration of3H-labeled pristane. balance study showed an extensive fecal excretion (66%) mainly as unchanged whereas about 14% ingested was excreted urine metabolites and tritiated water. After one wk, 8.3% the ingested3H still stored carcass, radioactive distribution tissues organs preferential incorporation into adipose tissue liver. Over 75% radioactivity carcass associated with Tissue were characterized by thin layer chromatography, gas chromatography mass spectrometric analyses. Four identified: pristan-1-ol, pristane-2-ol, pristanic acid 4,8,12-trimethyltridecanoic acid. These demonstrate that this hydrocarbon undergoes subterminal hydroxylation or terminal oxidation followed classical β-oxidation process. Incorporation phospholipids more particularly phosphatidylserine fraction observed is discussed.
