摘要: Abstract The effect of active oxygen species on the productivity torularhodin, an effective antioxidant, by soil yeast, Rhodotorula glutinis no. 21, was examined. Methylene blue, methyviologen and AAPH [2,2′-azobis(2-amidinopropane) dihydrochloride] were used as generators singlet oxygen, superoxide anion radicals peroxy radicals, respectively. All them indicated effectiveness at a dose 1.0 x 10 −10 to 3.0 −6 M. Addition these culture medium had almost no influence biosynthesis β-carotene, whereas it marked enhancement those torulene torularhodin. Production uric acid xanthineoxidase remained unchanged torularhodin concentration up 100 μM. This result suggests that does not directly affect anions. It has been proved more potent scavenging peroxyl inhibits substrate degradation effectively than β-carotene does. Continuous addition methylene blue enhanced accumulation markedly single addition.
