Fabrication of Fiber Bragg Grating Coating with TiO2 Nanostructured Metal Oxide for Refractive Index Sensor

摘要: To increase the sensitivity of biosensor a new approach using an optical fiber Bragg grating (FBG) coated with suitable nanostructured metal oxide (NMO) is proposed which costly effective compared to other biosensors. was written on D-shaped by phase mask method 248 nm KrF excimer laser for 5 min exposure time producing period 528 nm. Titanium dioxide (TiO2) over purpose increasing its sensing area. The etched FBG then 312 nm thick TiO2 layer ensure propagating radiation modes within core. final structure used sense deionized water and saline. original before coating air-deionized air-saline 0.314 nm/riu 0.142 nm/riu, respectively. After became 1.257 nm/riu 0.857 nm/riu air-saline.
