摘要: Despite the lifelong health benefits of physical activity, frailer older adults have typically been excluded from studies promoting more active lifestyles. This study documents recruitment process and costs a multisite to identify effective strategies for recruiting in frailty/injury prevention research. Randomized controlled clinical trials were conducted at 7 sites; an 8th site was compliance study. Interventions reflected center- home-based promotion programs. Site objectives, eligibility criteria, contact screening methods obtained manuals operation. Recruitment results (number screened, rates, randomized screened ratios) ascertained data. Sites furnished estimated (nonlabor expenses, investigator staff time, fringe benefits) up signing consent form.
