摘要: Introduction Many studies have reported brain volume changes in smokers. However, the differences of grey matter (GM) and white (WM) young middle-aged male smokers with different lifetime tobacco consumption (pack-years) remain uncertain. Objectives To examine change, especially whether more pack-years smoking would be associated smaller gray smokers. Methods We used a 3T MR scanner performed Diffeomorphic anatomical registration through exponentiated lie algebra (DARTEL)-based voxel-based morphometry on 53 long-term (30.72 ± 4.19 years) healthy non-smokers (30.83 ± 5.18 years). We separated to light heavy by compared between smoker groups non-smokers. And then we did analysis covariance (ANCOVA) setting as covariates. Results Light all displayed GM WM than obviously The main areas were superior temporal gyrus, insula, middle occipital posterior cingulate, precuneus thalamus midbrain WM, addition, also observed was some certain volumes ANCOVA. Conclusion Young had many Some these areas' negative correlation pack-years, while not. These may due pathophysiological role smokings.
