摘要: Abstract The purpose of this study was to develop a better understanding students’ post-secondary lived experiences at rural college in Canada. My primary question was: How do students, who have engaged with the learning opportunities Prairie Site College, make sense being these experiences? theoretical framework appreciative inquiry (AI) applied using methodology interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) address research question. Ten graduating students Canada took part study. To collect data visual technique photo-elicitation and semi-structured interviews were implemented. found that positive include two key aspects contribute learner success: belongingness authentic activities promote student engagement. Students feel connected their environment are more compelled seek out new activities. Learners experience practical, real-world understand concepts better. outcome combining promotes transformational thus providing learners confidence learn, grow, self-esteem as well life changes. implications for professional practice supporting creating an atmosphere where cared about, find connections trust.
