摘要: Enrollment trends for a large employee group were analyzed to determine the extent which consumers chose Blue Cross or Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) health insurance under various premium differentials. Data collected from employment records of six University California campuses period 1967 1978. in Kaiser Foundation Plan (an HMO) more than doubled during this while enrollment remained relatively stable. This increased preference coverage was associated with concurrent relative rise costs employees coverage. These data suggest that are sensitive costs, and given opportunity HMOs can compete effectively traditional insurance.
