Social networking from a social capital perspective: a cross-cultural analysis

摘要: Using social capital theory (SCT), the purpose of this research is to determine success networking in societies that may be lower capital, for example Poland, versus those which are higher such as USA.,This paper uses a partial least squares approach with cross-cultural sample. The complete sample consists 556 participants study across USA (n = 258) and Poland 298).,Results indicate media result related Polish society. However, proposed model shows functionality can overcome some barriers.,Limitations include very specific set countries rather than larger sample, survey methodology could augmented mixed methods convenience sampling ensured homogeneity matching.,Based on research, designers should attempt keep information quality high but even more importantly, they increase interactivity. For particular, well-designed interactivity mitigate societal barriers media, it enhance trust platforms.,Because Poland’s history 40 years communism, newer generations eventually become adaptive tools acceptance lead greater important society from business perspective well.,The most contribution theoretically empirically establishes importance SCT relation two different countries.
