摘要: Both the direct and indirect effects of ionizing radiations are believed to contribute chemical changes induced in cellular DNA. Relevant information on possible degradation pathways has been provided by studies using DNA model compounds, major proportion which have focused pyrimidine components1 sugar derivatives2 With development powerful analytical tools such as high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) soft ionization mass spectrometry techniques, progress recently made elucidation nature radiation-induced modifications purine bases related nucleosides nucleotides.
