Effect of non-magnetic ions substitution on the structure and magnetic properties of Y 3-x Sr x Fe 5-x Zr x O 12 nanoparticles

摘要: Abstract In this work, Y3−xSrxZrxFe5O12 (0.0 ≤ x ≤ 0.7) were synthesized by citrate precursor method at 1050 °C. The structural and magnetic properties of Y3−xSrxFe5−xZrxO12 studied using the X-ray diffraction technique, scanning electron microscopy, transmission Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy vibrating sample magnetometer. XRD analysis X’Pert package show a pure garnet phase with cubic structure (space group Ia-3d) impurity SrZrO3 is observed when range x value exceeded from 0.6. Rietveld refinement Fullprof program shows lattice volume expansion increasing degree Sr/Zr substitution. crystallite sizes remain constant in x = 0.0 − 0.5 then increase. different morphology SEM micrographs samples can be related to values microstrain samples. hysteresis loops reveal superparamagnetic behaviour. Also, drop coercivity substitution mainly originated reduction magneto-elastic anisotropy energy. saturation magnetization (MS) indicate non-monotonically variant reach maximum 26.14 emu/g for x = 0.1 minimum 17.64 emu/g x = 0.0 x = 0.2. variation MS, these results superposition three factors; Fe3+ a-site, change angle FeT-O-FeO, core size.
