摘要: Background We sought to evaluate frequency, characteristics, and outcomes of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) during sports activities according the location occurrence (in facilities vs those occurring outside facilities). Methods results This is an observational 5-year prospective national French survey subjects 10 75 years old presenting with SCA (2005-2010), in 60 administrative regions (covering a population 35 million people). Of 820 sports, 426 SCAs (52%) occurred facilities. Overall, substantially higher survival rate at hospital discharge was observed among (22.8%, 95% CI 18.8-26.8) compared (8.0%, 5.3-10.7) ( P = .003). Delays intervention were significantly shorter when (9.3 13.6, P=0.03), proportion initially shockable rhythm (58.8% 33.1%, .134). Conclusions Sports-related not homogeneous entity. The 3-fold reported sports-related mainly due cases that occur facilities, whereas has usual very low survival.
