摘要: Ascochyta blight of lentils was reported in Canada for the first time 1978. Surveys seed samples clearly demonstrated that disease already widespread Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The main symptoms ascochyta consist purplish-brown shrunken white to tan-colored leaf, stem pod lesions, which usually become speckled with black pycnidia. causal organism is similar morphologically fabae Speg. sensu Boerema & Dorenbosch but authors prefer retain name A. lentis BondartzevaMonteverde Vassilievsky because apparent host specialization pathogen. A field survey summer 1979 showed very low levels southern west-central areas. More present moister region north Saskatoon. Reduction quality due probably more important than yield losses.
