摘要: 1. The lipids from a variety of keratinized tissues terrestrial vertebrates were extracted with chloroform:methanol and the nonpolar saponifiable removed. composition remaining polar was examined by thin layer chromatography color reactions. 2. studied included: hair monkey (Macacca fascicularis), dog (Canis familiaris), raccoon (Procyon lotor) cow (Bos taurus); full-thickness epidermis pig (Sus scrofa) pilot whale (Globicephala melaena); epidermal scales feathers fowl (Gallus gallus); scales, feathers, beaks claws turkey (Meleagris gallopavo); hoof horn cattle cast skins Columbian boa (Boa constrictor) Ball python (Python regius). 3. All contained both simple ceramides highly glycolipids (presumably gangliosides). 4. Glycolipids intermediate polarity present in all birds snakes mammalian which unkeratinized cells, but absent fully such as hair, horn. 5. presence gangliosides provides for formation multiple intercellular lipid lamellae have been observed horny mammals, reptiles are believed to constitute barrier water diffusion.
