摘要: Background. Twenty-six patients with desmoid tumors of the extremities (n = 20) or trunk 6) have been treated since 1977. Nine these were referred primary and 17 recurrent tumors. Methods. The tumor was removed in all patients, 10 received adjuvant radiation. Five (19%) developed local recurrence; one them lost to follow-up, remaining four had recurrence controlled surgical resection plus radiation. Results. All 25 who followed are alive disease-free at a mean follow-up 84 months (median, 81 months). None extremity required an amputation. estimated survival rate for entire group is 95% 42 months. Conclusions. Desmoid resection, supplemented selectively by radiation, can be locally majority (96%) patients.
