摘要: Phosphodiesterases (PDEs) belong to a family of proteins that control metabolism cyclic nucleotides. Targeting PDE5, for enhancing cellular function, is one the therapeutic strategies male erectile dysfunction. We have investigated whether in vivo inhibition which expressed several brain regions, will enhance memory and synaptic transmission hippocampus healthy mice. found acute administration sildenafil, specific PDE5 inhibitor, enhanced hippocampus-dependent tasks. To elucidate underlying mechanism enhancement, effects sildenafil on long-term potentiation (LTP) were measured. The level LTP was significantly elevated, with concomitant increases basal transmission, mice treated (1 mg/kg/day) 15 days compared These results suggest moderate enhances by increasing plasticity hippocampus.
