Element partitioning between metallic liquid, magnesiowustite, and silicate liquid at 20 GPa and 2500°C: A secondary ion mass spectrometric study

摘要: We determined the partition coefficients of 20 elements between metallic liquid, magnesiowustite, and silicate liquid at GPa 2500°C. The V, Cr, Mn, Co, Ni, Cu magnesiowustite are similar to those liquid. partitioning behavior Si, P, W Pb show remarkable differences that reflecting incompatibility these in magnesiowustite. Comparison present data with previous ones implies liquid-siicate W, Mo decrease whereas Mn increase due combined effect pressure temperature, although some other factors such as composition might play roles on a large difference D for W. The core mantle concentrations Co Ni estimated by Allegre et al. [1995] consistent metal-silicate equilibrium lower conditions, models inhomogeneous accretion also able explain core-mantle concentrations.
