Mechanism of ribosome translation through mRNA secondary structures.

摘要: A ribosome is a macromolecular machine that responsible for translating the genetic codes in messenger RNA (mRNA) into polypeptide chains. It has been determined besides through single-stranded region, can also translate duplex region of mRNA by unwinding duplex. To understand mechanism translation duplex, several models have proposed to study dynamics unwinding. Here, we present comprehensive review these and discuss other possible models. We evaluate each model consistency and/or inconsistency between theoretical results are obtained based on available experimental data, thus determining which most reasonable one describe ribosome. Moreover, framework future studies this subject provided.
