摘要: We have quantified neurotransmitter changes in the rat jejunum which myenteric neurons were ablated by serosal application of benzalkonium chloride. Within 2 days after chloride treatment, there was a 40% reduction activity choline acetyltransferase, specific marker for cholinergic neurons, and 25% amount vasoactive intestinal peptide per centimeter length jejunum. By 15 days, levels comparable to those control segments, 45 neuronal ablation, treated tissues twice controls. In contrast, we observed no leucine-enkephalin at early times although this segments more than Significant increases muscle thickness tissue weight also 15, 30, ablation. Thus that response chemical ablation jejunum, is thickening smooth layers compensatory increase production certain neurotransmitters surviving elements gut.
