摘要: A study of the in situ creep deformation massive ground ice has been carried out at a field site near village Tuktoyaktuk, NWT. Cumulative surface displacements, accounted for by to depth 25 m, vary from about 3 mm/a upslope 4 downslope site. While net displacements on year basis were downslope, pattern both sites displays quasi-sinusoidal fluctuation, with significant seasonal movement during late winter and early summer. This fluctuation is thought be due effects thermal contraction. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
