摘要: Black Americans diagnosed with cancer generally have lower survival rates than white Americans, even after adjustment for stage of at time discovery and level treatment received. The hypothesis developed in this work is that these may be due to serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)DI black attributed production vitamin from solar ultraviolet-B (UVB) irradiance darker skin. 50-75% as much 25(OH)D now thought reduce the risk incidence mortality 18 types cancer. To explore hypothesis, data various period 1970-1994 were used indices UVB levels July, smoking, alcohol consumption, urban residence poverty level, all averaged by state, multiple linear regression analyses using ecologic approach.
