摘要: Objective Although it has been suggested that diabetes mellitus (DM) is a risk factor for developing adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder (ACS), data on temporal association between these 2 conditions are sparse. The purpose this population-based age- and sex-matched cohort study was to investigate ACS in patients with newly diagnosed DM. Methods A total 78,827 subjects at least ambulatory care visits principal diagnosis DM 2001 were recruited group. non-DM group comprised 236,481 randomly sampled without DM. 3-year cumulative calculated using Kaplan-Meier method. A Cox proportional hazards regression model used estimate crude adjusted hazard ratio (HR) ACS. Results During followup period, 946 (1.20%) 2,254 (0.95%) developed ACS. HR compared 1.333 (95% confidence interval [95% CI] 1.236–1.439, P < 0.0001), whereas 1.321 CI 1.224–1.425, 0.0001) after adjustment age, sex, dyslipidemia. Conclusion This longitudinal showed there significantly increased
