摘要: An indirect-type triple-pass forced convection solar dryer has been developed and the performance parameters such as thermal, pickup exergy efficiency are studied for drying potato slices. The consists of a blower, collector integrated with sensible heat storage (sand) bed along absorber plate aluminum wire mesh chamber. experiments were conducted at optimum value air mass flow rate 0.062 kg s−1. experimental results showed that maximum outlet temperature 62 °C was observed 1.00 pm respective irradiance 998 W m−2. initial moisture content slices reduced from 76% (wet basis) to final 13% in 4.5 h. thermal varied 12 66%, mean 45% observed. 2.5 62.9%, an average 29.9% varies 2.8 87.02%, day obtained 53.57%. thin-layer characteristics have studied, Midilli Kucuk model proposed most suitable model.
