摘要: Current symptom rating scales and diagnostic categories for bipolar disorder (BD) do not provide dimensional profiles of the types behavior disturbed in this complex disorder. To overcome these limitations we identified principal domains behavioral symptomatology individuals, including all mood states, used a more comprehensive scale BD: Bipolar Inventory Signs Symptoms Scale (BISS). A total 246 patients with BD (196 type I, 50 II) were interviewed using BISS. Exploratory factor analysis was performed on BISS results maximum likelihood extraction method, followed by oblique rotation extracted loadings. We determined strength relationships between scores Pearson correlation coefficient. The following five factors extracted: mania, depression, irritability, anxiety psychosis. Anxiety significantly correlated depression irritability. mania score only weakly associated other four factors. capture both historical plus psychosis, an additional domain, anxiety. Despite common occurrence BD, it has been most prior analyses, part due to limited coverage symptoms source scales.
