摘要: Recently tantalum is gaining more attention as a new metallic biomaterial it has been shown to be bioactive and biologically bonds bone. However, the relatively high cost of manufacture an inability produce modular all Ta implant limited its widespread acceptance. In this study we have successfully deposited coating on Ti using laser engineered net shaping (LENS) enhance osseointegration properties. vitro biocompatibility study, human osteoblast cell line hFOB, showed excellent cellular adherence growth with abundant extracellular matrix formation surface compared surface. A six times higher living density was observed than control by MMT assay. energy wettability were contribute significantly better cell-material interactions. Also, these dense coatings do not suffer from low fatigue resistance due absence porosity sharp interface between substrate, which major concern for porous used enhanced/early biological fixation.
