摘要: Recent experiments in neural, skeletal, endothelial, and hematopoietic tissues have provided new insights into the way members of transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β) superfamily regulate cellular differentiation. TGF-βs fate multipotential stem cells instructively (in neural crest) by regulating expression or function tissue-specific transcription factors, as well selectively mesenchyme) required factors their receptors. During skeletal development, unique functions act sequentially to modulate chondrocyte osteoblast Responsiveness changes differentiate evidence now suggests that TGF-β receptor profile may account for some these differences. Drosophila transgenic mouse models are providing useful mechanisms action vivo.
