摘要: Waveguide twists are often necessary to provide polarization rotation between waveguide-based components. At terahertz frequencies, it is desirable use a twist design that compact in order reduce loss; however, these designs difficult if not impossible realize using standard machining. This paper presents micromachined waveguide for frequencies. The Rud-Kirilenko geometry ideally suited the micromachining processes developed at University of Virginia. Measurements WR-1.5 exhibit return loss near 20 dB and median insertion 0.5 from 600 750 GHz.
