摘要: Abstract The enhanced thymidine incorporation in murine lymphocytes induced by Concanavalin A (Con A) was markedly inhibited the presence of other lectins, which are poorly mitogenic (phytohemagglutinin {PHA} or pokeweed mitogen), non-mitogenic (soybean agglutinin {SBA}). level inhibition found to be inversely proportional effect lectins. Our results did not support notions that lectins inhibit lymphocyte responses competing with Con A, activating suppressor cells. Rather, data suggest cause cytotoxic cytostatic effects. effects inhibitory were resemble those supraoptimal doses A. In particular, both partly averted factor (LAF). LAF lectin, SBA, whereas poor PHA moderately potentiated this factor. It is thus suggested activity counteracts processes provoked
