摘要: As theI σ-index is neither affected by the mean per sample unit except for regular distribution nor standing on assumption of any definite type contagious distribution, it may have most wide range application among ones hitherto deviced measuring dispersion individuals in a population. The relations to $$V/\bar x$$ ,k negative binomial andN as well new index,I B , given this paper serve, if necessary, analysis data ecological works.
