摘要: Background. Mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) and Calcium-enriched Mixture (CEM) cement are used for pulp capping since they induce the formation of a dentinal bridge. Long setting time is shortcoming these types cement. This study aimed to assess effect incorporation some alkaline salts MTA CEM on their time, ion release profile, pH, surface morphology. Methods. In this in vitro experimental study, 5% calcium chloride (CaCl2), oxide (CaO), sodium fluoride (NaF), nitrate [Ca(NO3)2] were separately added The primary final times cements measured using Gillmore needle apparatus. samples immersed simulated body fluid (SBF) one, seven, 14 days subjected x-ray diffraction (XRD) scanning electron microscopy (SEM) phase identification morphology assessment. change pH solutions was studied, profile determined inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP-AES). data analyzed with ANOVA, followed by post hoc tests. Results. CaCl2 CaO decreased MTA, Ca(NO3)2 increased from both cements, hydroxyapatite deposits noted cover (observed SEM confirmed EDXA). Conclusion. into release.
