Effect of seasonal fluctuation of ambient temperature on fatigue in multiple sclerosis patients living in Attica, Greece

摘要: Abstract Fatigue limits daily functioning of patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) and has a severe impact on their quality life. is considered result biological, psychological environmental factors. This study investigated the effect ambient temperature levels fatigue during each season year in MS healthy population. Forty-five 42 people matched for age sex participated study. Measurement was based Severity Scale. Patients were asked which they felt worst fatigue. The measurements conducted every 3 months November, February, May August last day month. (mean = 4.20, standard error [SE] = 0.22) exhibited higher mean severity than control group (mean = 2.68, SE = 0.22). did not present any significant differentiation between seasons. However, tendency to significantly increase August, actually experienced week August. Significant fluctuation observed MS. may avoid worsening caused by climatic conditions appropriate organization life routine.
