摘要: The role of endogenous prostaglandin F2α (PGF) in the induction luteolysis by exogenous PGF was studied simultaneous inhibition with flunixin meglumine (FM). Groups were controls (n = 8), treated and FM + 9). Treatments given 10 d postovulation at hours 0, 8, 16. protocol based on (1) assumption that luteolytic characteristics would be altered if synthesis is simultaneously inhibited (2) reports involves a direct effect uterine large luteal cells followed an small cells. At hour 48, progesterone concentration greater (7.6 ± 0.8 ng/mL) than group (3.0 0.5 ng/mL) lower (0.7 0.3 ng/mL) (interaction, P < 0.0001). effects each 3 groups percentage change CL volume similar to progesterone. tissue color-Doppler signals blood flow between (56.2% 3.8%) (50.0% 6.4%) lowest (15.6% 7.2%) A resurgence began 24 or 48 6 9 heifers compared 0 8 other (P 0.007). associated maintenance blood-flow signals. experimental hypothesis inhibitor reduces response supported.
