摘要: Purpose – Thick composite claddings of carbides on a metal matrix are ideal for use in components that subject to severe abrasive wear. It is (MMC) reinforced by an appropriate ceramic phase and nano-diamond cladding reduce friction protect the opposing surface. The paper aims discuss these issues. Design/methodology/approach This work evaluated wear performance carbon steel cladded with TiC/nano-diamond powders gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) method. microstructures, chemical compositions, characteristics surfaces were analyzed scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX).
