摘要: Background: The expression of the nm23 gene has been associated with development metastasis. Numerous studies have shown down-regulation in metastatic breast and colon cancer. putative metastasis-suppressor gastric carcinoma is controversial. aim this study was analysis a large series cancer patients. Patients Methods: In retrospective immunohistochemical specimens obtained from 116 patients (mean age 64 years; range: 33-85) who had undergone gastrectomy extended lymphadenectomy were analyzed. Nm23 tumor epithelium studied by immunohistochemistry followed semi-quantitative (score 0-3) evaluation. Statistical including Chi-square test, uni- multivariate survival analyses performed. Results: staining pattern positive 2-3) 100 (86.2%) negative 0-1) 16 (13.8%) samples. Lymph node metastasis found 65% No significant correlations could be determined between other variables such as gender, age, differentiation, WHO-, Lauren-, Goseki-, or Ming-classification. intensity cells not significantly correlated depth infiltration (T-stage), lymph (N-stage), distant (M-stage), UICC-stage, prognosis. Conclusion: Our did show correlation terms prognosis
