摘要: Abstract In this study, a quick start-up of one-stage deammonification in an immobilized aerobic ammonium oxidizing bacteria (AOB) and anoxic (ANAMMOX) up-flow reactor (IAAR) was successfully achieved. With the aid gel layers, AOB ANAMMOX had excellent spatial distribution, theoretically meeting dissolved oxygen requirements for simultaneous processes anaerobic oxidizing. The results indicated that IAAR containing 0.4 g-VSS L−1 biomass achieved nitrogen removal rate (NRR) 0.53 kg-N m−3 d−1 after only 10 days operation subsequently reached maximum (NRRmax) 3.73 kg-N m−3 d−1. micro-profiles DO pH were measured using microelectrodes to help understand stratification microbial inside layers. distribution within layers verified fluorescence situ hybridization (FISH) analysis. community FISH three-dimensional images closely corresponded concentration pH, enabling rapid adaptation stable seeded with quite low quantity biomass.
