摘要: This paper addresses the increasing demand in industry for methods to analyze and visualize multimodal data involving a spectral modality. Two modalities are used: high-resolution X-ray computed tomography (XCT) structural characterization low-resolution fluorescence (XRF) elemental decomposition. We present InSpectr, an integrated tool interactive exploration visual analysis of multimodal, multiscalar data. The has been designed around set tasks identified by domain experts fields XCT XRF. It supports registered single scalar datasets optionally coupled with element maps reference spectra. InSpectr is instantiating various linked views integration spatial non-spatial information provide insight into industrial component's material composition: volume renderings composite individual 3D global composition; transfer functions defined directly on overlaid pie-chart glyphs show composition 2D slice-views; representative aggregated spectrum spectra density histograms introduced overview view. Spectral magic lenses, probing points using view periodic table aid local analysis. investigated outline usefulness presented techniques: virtually created phantom brass metal alloy real-world water insertions gold, barium, gadolinium. Additionally detailed user evaluation results provided.
